Board Meetings

Your CEB meets once a month. Members showcase
their businesses to all other CEB members on a rotating basis. The meeting is usually held on the same day of the month as determined by the members. This fast-paced, half day meeting includes three empowering sessions:

•  Company Showcase
A member makes a brief presentation of his business followed by a discussion of how to grow the business. This is your special opportunity to inform members about your business and receive their counsel and ideas for growing your business successfully.

•  Business Development Session —A CEB member or a recognized business practitioner conducts an interactive workshop presentation on an important business topic. Then members discuss opportunities and challenges raised by the presentation and how to apply them in their businesses.

•  Mastermind Session —Individual members summarize a key current issue they face. CEB members then share advice and personal experiences relevant to each issue. The conversation is often spirited, but always focused on getting at what really works best in each situation.
Example Meeting : The CEO of a government contracting firm makes a presentation about his business and its distinctive capabilities. Some CEB members suggest he repackage some of the company's services and offer them in the private sector as a “turnkey” program for small to mid-size businesses. The Business Development speaker is Dennis Roberts, a nationally recognized speaker on investment banking for middle market companies. He describes what drives the valuation of private businesses and how successful executives maximize the value of their private companies through an outright sale, merger or public offering. The Mastermind Session addresses two issues raised by members: (a) how to handle a disgruntled minority owner employee, and (b) what compensation plan works best for a sales force.
